About Me
Words Have Always Found Me
Even in other jobs, words had a way of finding me. I was the one spotting errors in training manuals, polishing reports, and drafting policy documents that had to be clear and precise. Editing may not have been my official title then, but I couldn’t resist nerding out over it. When I was young, I was known to spend whole weekends in my room, engrossed in a book.

A Foot in Publishing
Long before I trained as an editor, I worked full-time for two years in a publishing house catering to the automotive industry. My role centered on proofreading and editing copy and content for printed catalogs—meticulous, detail-heavy work that demanded accuracy and consistency across hundreds of pages. That experience taught me how to keep large projects on track while holding clarity and precision at the forefront.
Training That Makes It Official
To build on that foundation, I completed Edit Republic’s High-Level Proofreading and Copyediting Pro course and, more recently, the Content Editing Pro course.
Narrating and editing several audiobooks added another dimension, teaching me how words live when spoken aloud as well as when read silently. Editing for organizations and small businesses further sharpened my ability to adapt to different voices while always keeping clarity, flow, and impact at the center.
I am happy to follow your style guide of choice, and am most fluent in the Chicago Manual of Style and Merriam-Webster’s style, which form the backbone of my editorial practice. As the most widely used, these standards ensure consistency and professionalism in every project. Of course, I remain flexible to accommodate your chosen preferences, which are recorded in a personalized style sheet for you (copyediting, line editing, and content services).
Editing should guide, not override, an author’s voice.
Professional Editing in Practice
I have professionally edited nonfiction and self-help books for indie publishers, bringing clarity and polish to authors’ work without sacrificing their unique voices. My projects have ranged from books and blogs to academic theses, each one sharpening my ability to adapt tone, refine structure, and respect the writer’s vision. Alongside this, I’ve been steadily writing and editing blogs for the past couple of years—work that honed my ability to tailor content for different audiences and deliver clean copy on schedule.

Editing with Intent
My philosophy is simple: editing should guide, not override, an author’s voice. Every change I suggest is meant to support your vision, polish your style, and help your words land with strength and precision.
Outside the Manuscript
When I’m not editing, you’ll probably find me listening to an audiobook or curled up with a novel—often historical romance, cosy fiction, or the occasional bestseller. Books still have the power to absorb me completely, just as they did when I was a child. At home, I share my reading and editing hours with two cats, who remain convinced they are indispensable parts of the process.
Now that you know a bit about me, I’d love to learn about your project — every good collaboration starts with a conversation.
